The "Winch, USGS" is not part of IDDO's inventory of equipment and the projects utilizing it are not necessarily IDDO-supported projects. The winch belongs to Gary Clow at the USGS. It is listed here, with permission from Gary, simply for community planning purposes. Any questions about the USGS Winch should be directed to Gary at: clow at usgs dot gov.
Gary Clow indicated that the USGS Winch could be a back-up for the deep logging winch requested at WSD in 2015-16 as it doesn't have commitments elsewhere.
